General Description:

The Shop Coordinator will be responsible for the field equipment readiness, logistics support and all other duties assigned by the Canadian Operations Team, including the Shop Supervisor and Managing Director.  This will be the role in creating a more consistent office/shop location for all business activities in Edmonton AB.

Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Specialized Skills and Experience:

  • Two years of experience working with and around industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse and shipping department operations.
  • Ability to operate fork lift equipment.
  • Ability to create order and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety training in an industrial environment.
  • 480VAC experience, GTAW/GMAW/FCAW welding are deemed advantageous but not required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PDF and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent use of verbal and written grammar.
  • Flexibility with hours including potential overtime and weekends to meet deadlines for emergency jobs.
  • Ability to work independent at times, but also within a team dynamic.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimum supervision.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, ship, receive and reconcile automatic field and support equipment.
  • Work alone or assist other department members in processes of receiving, pulling, packing, loading/unloading and shipping of tools, parts and supplies needed to support field operations.
  • Responsible for inventory levels of both maintenance and logistic supplies.
  • Cooperate with engineering, project management and site personnel to support job requirements.
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing FedEx packages for freight shipments to Suwanee, Georgia and various locations within Canada.
  • Create vendor orders for inventory control system.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Complete and retain maintenance records.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

Warehouse environment; with occasional outdoor duties.  Safety conscience work environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Bending, lifting, loading/unloading packages and parts.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted and above 60lbs assisted.
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required.
  • Perform duties using personal protection equipment.
