Job Description

The AZZ Electrical Solutions Platform is seeking a top level candidate for a Sales Manager position located in Millington, Maryland.  This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for Sales relationships with customers focusing on our Enclosure Systems facility.  The Sales Manager is responsible for the development, profitable and sustainable sales growth for the business unit and aligning the local sales strategy and customer needs with the business objectives.  Additionally, this position monitors the target markets response to sales and marketing efforts, performs analysis, and provides appropriate feedback to influence current and future portfolio strategy.      

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):

Proactive Sales:  Identify and investigate planned projects, far in advance of contract award, and work to position AZZ/Enclosure Systems for a successful sales project pursuit

Customer Expectations:  Meeting or exceeding customer expectations relative to quality of quotations and timeliness of responses to customer inquiries.

Company Expectations:  Meeting or exceeding company expectations relative to incoming order targets and company profitability.

Determining and providing the resources in terms of people, materials, and other tools necessary to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.

Effectively directing subordinates in a manner consistent with meeting overall company and facility objectives.

The development and implementation of plans that will yield continuous operational improvements in terms of quality, timeliness, profitability and utilization of the company’s physical and human assets. This includes the development of annual improvement targets for the activities directly reporting to this position.

Enforce and promote a safe and clean work environment in the operation and within the area of the positions’ direct responsibility.

Assist the General Manager as a key member of the management team in developing the company business plan with a primary emphasis on incoming orders.

Effectively communicate with and keep the General Manager apprised of activities within the operation and markets in which the company participates.

All other responsibilities, accountabilities, functions and duties as may be assigned from time to time by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Equipment Used: Basic office equipment (computer, telephone, calculator, copier)

B. Certificates, licenses, and registrations: No

C. Knowledge/Skills: PC capabilities. Engineered electrical product sales and marketing experience and knowledge.

D. Education/Experience: Minimum of an undergraduate degree, related technical degree or at least 10 years of engineered electrical products sales and marketing experience.

E. Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
