General Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician works under the director of the Director of Operations to address any facilities-related issues.  The purpose of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to ensure that the state of the facility is safe and presentable at all times for our employees and customers.



Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required.



Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of three years experience in repair and maintenance of commercial buildings, including electrical and plumbing.
  • Current forklift licenses and elevated platform experience a plus.
  • OSHA 10/30-hour certification or be capable of completing course(s).
  • Proven ability in safe conduct, work initiative and problem-solving.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule and weekends are required.


Essential Duties:

  • Perform daily tours to identify and correct any facilities deficiencies.
  • Plan, organize and implement facilities cleaning.
  • Monitor, maintain and reorder facilities maintenance supplies.
  • Perform minor maintenance including but not limited to, painting, heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Set up, arrange and remove decorations, tables, chairs and ladders in preparing facilities for events, such as, banquets and meetings.
  • Exercise a safety conscious attitude in order to identify, report and rectify contrary situations or behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50lbs and perform maintenance duties with personal protection equipment as appropriate.



Work Environment:

Warehouse, outdoor & office environment.
