General Description:

The position is will act as an advocate for the customer coordinating the needs of the customer with operational abilities an sales expectations.



Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

High school graduate, with customer service background or experience dealing directly with the public.



Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience is required.



Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Knowledge of administration, clerical procedures and software such as Microsoft Office are helpful. Strong organizational skills and knowledge of Oracle is a plus.



Essential Duties:

  • Provides primary point of contact for the customer base of a given facility or facilities to enhance communication for the customer.
  • Accurately identify and communicate all needs of the customer to production managers prior to processing materials.
  • Checks on a daily basis the production status of all materials on site.
  • Coordinate expectations for daily shipping and receiving.
  • Confirms quoted price or appropriate book price is applied at the creation of the shop order.
  • Utilize Sales Force to track and record customer interactions.
  • Command a good basic understanding of common coating outcomes and be able to communicate professionally conformance of lack of conformance based on expressed expectations.
