Job Description

Job Title:  Inside Sales (+ Order Entry)


Reports To:  Sr. Director Nuclear Sales Operations


Job Summary: Receive, log and research client request for quotes (RFQ’s).  Prepare complete and accurate proposals for review by manager.  Assist Account Executives with client interface and support.  Work with Operations group and management for continuous improvement and best practices opportunities.  Assist with order entry and other sales related functions, as necessary.


  • Minimum education level: Two or more years of verifiable college education required.

  • Minimum experience:  At least 5 years in an inside sales or customer service related position.  Technical competence is required.

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, other computer skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Present a professional image at all time to customers (internal and external) and vendors.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with Account Executives and Operations personnel to provide customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to achieve and maintain rapport with clients to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Read and understand client RFQ’s to determine technical and quality requirements and client expectations in order to quote specific and correct products and solutions.

  • Process RFQ’s in accordance with Inside Sales procedures and provide accurate proposals to clients in a timely manner.

  • Proofread all quote material for content and accuracy prior to sending to client.

  • Research for technical and quality requirements.

  • Contact suppliers for quotes to develop pricing.

  • Maintain all quote files and information in Visual Vault and SalesForce per the procedures.

  • Interface with engineering, document control, purchasing and shipping as required.

  • Respond to client phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

  • Assist as back up support for order entry.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Goals and Objectives:

  • All proposals to the client shall be sent on time.

  • Quote files contain all required documents as referenced in the procedure.

  • Compliance with Visual Vault and SFDC database processes.

  • Participation in CIP and Kaizen practices.

Physical Demands:

General office environment, sitting for long periods at a computer. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 30 lbs.
